Construction:
Hull deck and superstructure moulded in hand laid glass with white Gelcoat finish. The decks are panel painted with sand colour non slip paint. This craft offers a Deep cockpit with dodgers for added protection. Steering is
via a tiller. The rudder was replaced in 2006 as were all the cabin windows.
The under water profile affords an Iron Ballast keel with a steel lifting ballasted plate operated by a wire and winch arrangement in the cockpit.We understand from the Vendor that this craft is wintered ashore yearly and on his inspection shows no signs of osmotic blistering

Machinery:
Auxiliary power is provided by an inboard Volvo MD1 raw water cooled diesel with shaft driving a here bladed propeller, this engine is fitted with a dynastart Charging /starting system. The vessel is also fitted with a new 2005 Yamaha Long shaft 8hp Manual Start Outboard motor.
Fuel Capacity: 20 lts Diesel
29 lts Petrol in 3 portable tank

Electrics
This craft is fitted with a 12 volt battery system charged from the engine with a constant additional trickle charge from a Solar Panel. Distribution of electrical supply through 2 x 6 gang switch panels One of which is illuminated and carries a cigar lighter socket. The system comprises of 2 x 100 amphr Batteries with Master key change over.

    Mast Spars & Rigging:
    Masthead Bermudan sloop with anodised aluminium mast and boom with Facnor roller reefing system to the headsail. Standing rigging is stainless steel and believed to be approx 10 years old. A second forestay has been
    added allowing the optional use of hank on sails.
    All running was replaced in the last five years with exception to the Jib Halyard.
    Single line reefing is fitted to the mainsail and control lines lead back to the cockpit.

    Accommodation
    This craft offers 4 berths in two cabins with an optional 5th quarter berth currently used for
    Stowage. Berthing configuration comprises of a ‘V’ berth in the forward cabin and a double berth in the saloon using the adjustable dinette table.

    The heads compartment is located between the for’ard cabin and saloon and is fitted with a sea toilet replaced in 2005 with a hanging and shelved locker opposite. The galley is located on the starboard side and is equipped with a
    Plastimo 2 Burner gas hob with grill fitted new in 2004 this cooker is fitted with a flame failure safety device, Sink with manually pumped fresh cold water, and stowage areas with fiddle shelves. The dinette table to port has seating for four persons and offers stowage under the seating area. Head linings are in good condition and mounted on removable panels, and all joinery has been kept in good condition. Headroom is reported to 5’7”.

    Comments:
    The Seamaster 23 is practical small cruiser and ideally suited to the small family or novice sailor. She is strongly built well finished and offers a reliable performance.

    In particular this example has been well maintained by her current owner and is ready to sail.
