Construction:
Hull deck and superstructure moulded from hand laid fibreglass on a semi displacement under water profiled hull. The craft has a large open aft cockpit with a good sized wheelhouse and two berths in a forward cabin with a separate heads compartment with sea toilet.

Engine:
Power is provided a single Perkins HT6354 6 cylinder Turbo assisted inboard diesel engine rated at 175hp driving a standard s/s shaft with a 3 bladed propeller.
Engine control is via a single lever dual action Morse control and the cockpit dash board houses a host of engine monitoring analogue dials.
The engine was removed from the boat in 1998 and completely re-built.
I understand that this craft carries 450 lts of fuel in two S/s tanks housed under the cockpit sole behind engine. The well sound insulated engine box is totally collapsible for easy access.
The vendor informs me that the vessel will reaches the plane easily and will cruise at 10 knts
With a maximum speed of 15knts and an average consumption of approx 3 gallons per Hr.
Electrics:
This craft is fitted with both 12 & 24volt battery systems. The 24 volt system is mainly used for engine starting, whilst services are on the 12 volt circuit. All batteries are charged from the engine alternator via a Charge balancing diode for the service batteries.
In addition there is a 220 volt shore power system fitted with points in cabins.
All wiring has been recently replaced with the adition of new fuse boxes

Accommodation
‘V’ Berth in forward cabin with stowage under with good natural light via 2 x non opening side windows and 2 x forward facing windows. A compact heads compartment is located aft of the Portside berth and is equipped with a sea toilet . A further double berth is located in the wheel house. The wheelhouse also contains a small galley with a two burner cooker with oven and grill, and basin with cold pressurized water feed. The Aquabell 27 has stayed the test of time and is very popular with both pleasure anglers and charter skippers alike. The wide 11’ beam offers a spacious and steady working/Angling platform and the high gunnels with S/S rails give safe and easy access around the craft.
‘Laura E’ in particular was coded as an Angling/workboat in 2006 and licensed to carry 6 persons. The rating is Category 3 with a 20 mile limit from a safe haven including both day and night.
Other uses for this craft could include commercial safety boat, transport to offshore construction sites etc.
