‘PROUD SEAHORSE’ CLASS/TYPE: LONG DISTANCE TSMY DIMENSIONS:LOA:23m LWL:21m BEAM:6.2m DRAFT:2.7m BUILDER: PLANCO YEAR: REFITTED 2004/5 LYING: RAMSGATE MARINA Construction: Hull deck and superstructure moulded in hand laid GRP with a Gel coat finish with red and white top coatings. Decks are heavy marine ply sandwich, with cork strip finish. Built to Lloyds 100 A standards and designed for long range cruising. This little ship has full walk round decks with high gunnels which are capped in varnished Mahogany Displacement weight :156,000Kgs /152.8 Tons Machinery: Power is provided by pair of Detroit V871 460hp indirect cooled turbo diesel engines which have been de-rated to 200hp each driving through Detroit Allison gearboxes with a 1.5:1 Ratio to conventional shafts with 3 bladed propellers. Hydraulic take offs are fitted to these engines. Cruising speed with this installation is approx 8 knots with a maximum speed of 10 knots Fuel consumption at cruising 8 knts: IOR 40 Lphr / 8.8 Gallons per hr Fuel Capacity:16,000 Litres / 3520 Gallons in two tanks + Header Tank Approx Cruising Range: 3200mile Tanks Full to Empty To assist with close quarter manoeuvring this craft is fitted with a Hydraulic Bow Thruster with Joy stick control Electrical Systems The Electrical system is fitted to cover every eventuality ; the basic system is 24volt with 2 x 24 volt banks dedicated to engine starting . A further 4 banks of batteries run the day to day electrics, the battery banks are charged initially from the engine alternators. An emergency 24 volt system is installed in the cockpit and a 12 volt supply is provided via a dropper system. A 24/240volt Inverter is also fitted giving a guaranteed 240vlt supply. All batteries are charged from a master charger. For shore power the ship is fitted with both single and 3 phase systems, with standard shore power connection. In addition there are 2 x 3 phase Generators giving 12 KVA each with auto phase sequencing and 1 x Single phase generator supplying 10kva. All three generators can be run together if required. 220/240 wiring comprises of three ring mains, 1 ring main for each deck and can feed from either generator system. Accommodation Accommodation comprises of 4 double guest cabins all with en-suite facilities, and oil fired central heating, electric sockets and hanging storage. 2 x twin crew quarters with own facilities, and the Master/ Owners stateroom with separate study is located on the main deck. Also on the main deck is a spacious Galley with commercial 6 burner S/s Cooker with oven grill, and overhead extractor, Low level fridge freezer, micro wave, large double sink with drainers and serving island. Opposite the galley is the dining area with seating for 12, forward of the dining area are stairs s leading down to the lower accommodation deck. At this point a monitor has been fitted so guests can follow the ships progress on a plotter display. Aft of the dining area is a comfortable saloon with wide screen T.V, DVD/C.D player, Leather settee, & bureau, from here a door leads onto the aft deck with Hot tub and seating area , whilst a lavish spiral staircase leads to the bridge and upper saloon area. The fully equipped bridge offers excellent vision forward with all controls and monitors in easy reach, whilst the stern is covered by CCTV cameras which also monitor engine room. The interior accommodation is tastefully fitted in solid light oak and teak panelling. Above the bridge deck is a upper helm position with basic controls and instrumentation. This craft carries a substantial fresh water supply and is also fitted with a large holding tank.
