Construction
Hull deck and superstructure moulded from hand laid Fibre reinforced plastic with a gelcoat finish. White gelcoat to Hull with Grey gel to deck. The fin keel is through bolted with the bolts then encapsulated and flow coated. Steering is via a skeg hung rudder with tiller. Due to the age of this craft the construction materials used in her build were excessive to todays standards making the construction very solid.

Machinery & Electrics
Auxilary power is provided by a Yanmar 1 GM10 single cylinder inboard diesel engine rated @ 9hp driving a conventional shaft, this engine is raw water cooled and benefits from being electric start. The engine is not the original installation and on inspection appears clean and well maintained with only 179 engine hours recorded from fitting.
Electrics are 12 volt from a twin battery installation charged from the engine alternator.
Batteries were replaced in 2006 Fitted into the electrical system is an Amp metre, Voltmeter
And battery condition indicator.

Mast Spars & Rigging
Rigged as a Bermudan sloop with a ¾ Fractional Rig. The Mast Boom and spinnaker pole are silver anodised aluminium . The mast is deck mounted in a tabernacle and this craft is fitted with a Rotostay roller reefing system to the head sail, All standing rigging is stainless steel
With Terylene running rigging.

Accommodation
A traditional four berth layout is offered comprising of a double V berth forward and two settee berths in the saloon. A toilet compartment is located between the forward cabin and saloon and is fitted with a new sea toiLet
A small galley area to port is equipped with a New 2 burner gas hob with grill (2006)
And Sink with cold pumped water. To starboard is a chart area.
Upholstery is a green vinyl with white piping and all in VGC and the interior benefits from new linings

The Trident 24 is a proper little yacht with a truly traditional appearance, a steady reliable performer capable of passage making.
Still a very sought after craft with a long production run of 14 years
