DETAILS
There is presently one CCB 4914 under construction in Faversham, England. It is being produced in fibreglass using the lost mould method. The finished hull shell should be ready for inspection around the end of May 2001. The decks and superstructure will then be added using moulded sections.
This first 4914 has been comissioned as a comfortable live aboard cruiser for a couple taking early retirement. The accomodation reflects their needs and is layed out to provide spacious living for two with small cabins for occasional guests. The aft cabin will be used as a lounge for evening use. The wheelhouse is the day cabin with galley and dining areas. One of the guest cabins will double as a small office. There is a spacious steering position on the aft deck with room for six to dine al fresco.
Layouts with comfortable accomodation for six could be easily fitted in. For short term use space for up to eight could be created. With its aft deck steering position, wheelhouse and large forward coachroof there is plenty of space for guest to use during the day.
Whilst the first boat is being made in fibreglass it is also possible to have a steel built hull. The shape of the boat lends itself to steel construction and this is an option we can offer.
